Dr. Hammond is a Canadian-trained hematologist and 2020-2021 Chief Leukemia Fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her academic interests include acute myeloid leukemia and related myeloid neoplasms, bone marrow failure states, clonal hematopoiesis, and germline predisposition to leukemias and marrow failure. She is a prolific medical education writer, with contributions to The Microenvironment, the Canadian Hematology Society newsletter, as well as the 2020 ASH News Daily. Her favourite quote is “hematology is the study of blood and the tissues through which it flows.”
