Blog posts for Figure1.com Blog should be aimed at healthcare professionals and be educational with data-based opinions and observations.

  • Write in a conversational tone.
  • Take a deep dive into a specific topic rather than generalizing the whole topic.
  • When referencing a source, please include a link to the source directly within the text (example: In this clinical case from Figure 1 …).
  • Avoid political language.
  • Content cannot be promotional or connected to sponsored content.

Minimum Word Count: 600 words; no set maximum

What is the process for consideration?

We review all submissions for editorial alignment and accuracy. Within 15 working days, you will receive an email with the publishing decision and any next steps. 

I just published a piece on my website, can I submit it for consideration?

All submitted content must be original and not already published to another website. 

If accepted, what is the review process?

All content is first reviewed for editorial alignment. Content that is clinical in nature is reviewed by our medical team for accuracy. If accepted, and significant edits are made, the draft will be returned to you for sign off and for final accuracy edits only. The content is then published in alignment with our overall editorial calendar. 

How long does it take for accepted content to be published?

The timeline depends on our overall editorial calendar, but you will be alerted once your approved content is published. 

Will I be credited for my submission?

Blog posts include a byline, and quizzes and polls include a “Submitted by” notation.

How will my content be shared?

Accepted submissions will be published to Figure 1 channels, such as Figure1.com and the Figure 1 app. Content may also be shared with Figure 1 social media channels and emails. We encourage that you share the content with your networks as well. 

Can I publish the content on my own website?

While we encourage you to share the content with your networks — including your social channels and linking to the content from your website — content may not be published on another site in full for site optimization purposes.

Does this change the process for uploading cases in the app?

No, this has no impact on how cases are uploaded into the app.
