A 29-year-old patient sought medical attention for itchy and painful lesions on his finger, which had not improved despite the application of antibiotics. A registered nurse on Figure 1 diagnosed the patient with herpetic whitlow, and another suggested discontinuing mupirocin and replacing it with Vaseline instead.
