Account set up and verification

Once you’ve downloaded Figure 1 from the App Store or Google Play™, open the app and tap Sign up. You can also create an account on the web at app.figure1.com.

You will need to:

  • Enter your email address
  • Create a password (must be at least six characters)
  • Choose a username (your name, an abbreviated version of it or a professional nickname)

You’ll then need to be verified as a healthcare professional or student.

Why do I need to be verified?

Verification establishes your credibility as a healthcare professional or student in the Figure 1 community. Once you’re verified, you’ll have full access to Figure 1 features, including the ability to share a case with your peers, complete your profile or add a comment on a colleague’s case.

How do I become verified?

For healthcare professionals

We require photo identification with any document containing your name and professional title, such as professional license, work ID, employment letter, diploma or certificate. Members in the U.S. may alternatively submit their personal NPI number.

For students

We require a student ID, proof of enrollment or academic email. The documents must contain your name, school name, and program name.

Why isn’t my account verified?

Verification happens within 24 hours of account creation. If our team cannot confirm that you are a healthcare professional or healthcare student, we will send you an email. Contact verification@figure1.com if you have questions.

Do I have to share my real name?

Figure 1 is a professional platform and we require members to use their real, full name.

How do I pick a username?

Your Figure 1 username should be your name, an abbreviated version of it, or a professional nickname (e.g., DrSean, CooperRN).
